Le premiazioni coreane sono tristemente note per il loro essere monocromatiche e, seguendo il filo della tradizione, il primo giorno dei MAMA Awards 2023 ha mantenuto un’estetica soave, con artisti asiatici a bizzeffe nel campo della musica che si sono presentati in bianco e nero, con occasionali accenni di altri colori che hanno ravvivato il roster. Nonostante la scelta familiare di un tema sobrio e alla moda, artisti come Jeon Somi, Go Min-si, Lee Junho e membri di gruppi coreani o giapponesi come ENHYPEN, TVXQ, Kep1er e altri hanno animato la serata con le loro belle rivisitazioni di colori altrimenti considerati semplici e basilari.
Il Red Carpet dei MAMA Awards 2023 è stato condotto da Lee Hye-sung, RalRal e Jung Hanhae, anch’essi tra le presenze memorabili dell’elegante raduno al Tokyo Dome in Giappone il 28 novembre alle 16:00 KST. Il secondo capitolo del red carpet si terrà il 29 novembre alla stessa ora e sarà trasmesso in live-streaming sui canali YouTube di Mnet e KCON. Inoltre, i membri dei SEVENTEEN si sono presentati alla cerimonia principale più tardi (nonostante fossero nella lineup del giorno 2), quindi hanno perso l’evento del red carpet del primo giorno.
